Yes we do have halal meat. The short ribs is halal and the lamb dish.
Love it.
While the lot is close to the rest entrance the spots are very close together. If you need a lot of space getting in and out I'd recommend parking on the street.
No in boston Massachusetts
Very cozy place. The food is very tasty. The portion is big. Will come again to try other dishes.
Did take out, cause you know covid, for Sunday lunch for 6 eaters. Though I am not an Ethiopian cuisine expert, I did really enjoy the flavors. Happy to support local restaurants, hope this inspires others too!
Food was good, service was ok.
If you haven't tried Ethiopian food, check this place out! This place is not far from J Malden Center either!
Amazing Ethiopian food and beer with best service if you like Ethiopian healthy food this is best of Boston!
Very neat and accessible spot. They serve big portions and for reasonable prices. I enjoyed the food a lot and the staff were very affable and explanatory. Recommended!
The best place to eat habesha special and kuanat firir with best customer service . 🙌❤️
My favorite Ethiopian Restaurant. The best in Boston
My favorite place for Ethiopian in all of Massachusetts. Huge portions, fluffy injera, great service though very slow. Highly recommend.
We had been intending to try this restaurant for some time, after being told about it by an Ethiopian gentleman, who once won the NYC Marathon, and who eats here regularly. It was an interesting and tasty experience, and we wouldn't hesitate to go back. We started with the vegetarian Sambusas, which were an impossibly crispy outer shell surrounding a nicely spiced lentil mixture -- really good. Because this was a late lunch for us, we didn't want to over-order, so we split one of the Habesha platters with an assortment of vegetarian and meat dishes served on a large piece of freshly cooked spongy bread. It was a good way to try around eight different dishes in one meal. We enjoyed the food, and there was so much of it that we wound up by taking enough home for another meal. The prices were reasonable for the quality and portion size, and the service was friendly. They have a variety of Ethiopian wines by the glass, and other adult beverages.
Amazing food and very lovely and family like customer service.
Authentic Ethiopia Food. Great🔥🔥🔥🔥
The food is very good and very excellent and I will be back again😋😋😋😋😋😋
Delicious food and very friendly service! The waitress was extremely nice and was very helpful in ordering my dish and any questions that I had
Last week was the first time in this good restaurant. But It is surely not the last. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the generous service, with the first-rate meal and booze and with the comfortable pay. We will absolutely come back again.
Best Ethiopian food in the Boston area including the city itself. Their portions are generous and their prices are low. I highly recommend their vegetarian special.
Last week was the first time we visited this restaurant. But It is surely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the generous service, with the finest dishes and wine and with the comfortable payment. We will surely come back in a short time.
Delicious and delightful, with the added bonus of the most amazing coffee ever!
This restaurant provides fantastic service as well as yummy meals. The best place in the area. The meals arrived fast and the prices are economical. Will definitely recommend this place.
I went first time to this place as my cosine came to met us.i went there with my family.I asked for chicken strips and potato fries for my daughter. And ordered for our self.First the lady was pushing us to order some more items and then it took more than 30 minutes. When my daughter started eating she made her face that this chicken is not good and then we also tried. Can you believe what we found the chicken was totally raw inside... then we broke another 2 stripes and found oh ya all are raw even potatoes as well.We called and inform them they took that plate and to come with new plate again it took more than 20 minutes. Now what we saw oh the potatoes are burnt and before they gave 6 strips and we checked 3 of them so now only 3 strips came back with fully fried...No apologies nothing...
Good prices and nice comfort food!
Best food ever and great service
Loved it feels like eating at home
Good atmosphere. We didn't sit in,but tried the kittfo & injera. Both were very delicious. The kittfo was raw - just as I like it and very flavorful.
The food is delicious but my appetizers were not with my order. I called restaurant and they reimbursed me. Disappointed that I did not get what I ordered.
Very authentic Ethiopian food! The best in greater Boston area. Definitely recommend if you don't mind eating with hands. It's actually a fun experience 😆. Fried fish is my favorite.
Good food and good service. Fun to try a new cuisine. Great place to go with friends and share a good meal.
Amazing Ethiopian healthy food with best service. If you need Ethiopian healthy traditional food and beer this is the best restaurant in Boston
Some of the best Ethiopian food I've had. Try the honey wine, it's excellent!
First time trying Ethiopian food very good but very spicy no used to spicy but the restaurant very good and the ladies very friendly
Friendly service and delicious food!Came here with the family. We split 3 vegetarian combination plates (all served together on a big plate) among 2 adults and 2 children. It was plenty!
Good Ethiopian food. Staff is friendly. They cook on order, it takes time but food is fresh and tasty. Their enjira is must try.
Food is amazingly delicious, colorful, and filling. I've been twice in a few weeks, and hope to return soon. My 8 year old enjoyed eating with his hands in the traditional Ethiopian style! Service is very friendly, though both times I visited there was a misunderstanding with our order (which was fixed, but was inconvenient and caused us to wait)
It is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the Boston area. I always take my friends there. The food is great.
We went here before going to Boda Borg and loved it. Four us order and it all came out on one platter with a plate of bread. The food was amazing. We got the but the Habesha and Veggie platters, the chicken, and the lamb, which was the highlight (forgot the Ethiopian name, but one of the first few on the menu). Another thing to note is the very entertaining Ethiopian music videos playing in the background. Would absolutely recommend this place and would go there again, so delicious.
We came here for lunch before Boda Borg-- It is absolutely delicious!
What a great place to eat. You might not walk in, it doesn't look like a restaurant from outside but it's a great place to eat. People are very nice, they answer all questions and are very patient. Loved the honey wine, for food I liked the grilled beef the best but everything we tried was great. It's not a fancy place, but they have great food and the best wait staff.
First time trying Ethiopian food—everyone was so sweet! Enjoyed the amazing food and conversation. (Totally recommend the veg sambusa and coffee!!) Thank you Yeshi!
Tried eithopian food for the first time..loved it. Would recommend the Habesha special. Good service as well.
It was okay food. I have had better Ethiopian than this and I think the main reason is that spices and falvors are not blended together as well as I have had before at other places but it's worth giving a try!The quantity is lesser than what I am used to. Staff and service is nice!
Great Food, great service. Must try traditional food especially for Vegan or Gluten free people.
What a great small restaurant to have an Ethiopian meal! It is small and cozy with a great atmosphere. The waitress was friendly and helped us figure out which dishes we ordered and loved last time. Just remember if you don't want to eat with your hands, go somewhere else. If you want great Ethiopian food in a friendly atmosphere give them a try!
This is the best Ethiopian food you'll get in the city. Everything is expertly made, delicious, and criminally underpriced. You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't each here at least once.
Excellent food. This is the first time I tried Ethiopian food. However, the food here is amazing. They make sure everything is prepared once you order and prepared well. There is a small bar in restaurant. Staff is really nice people. It's a bit far from Boston downtown. But the food will be worth the commute. So enjoy.
Staff are very friendly, welcoming and kind. Food is great. Well balanced and seasoned perfectly. Portions were also quite generous. The space is clean and comfortable. Prices are very cheap for how much food you get. Came in with a large group of friends, many of whom hadn’t eaten Ethiopian food before. Our server was really patient in explaining everything and making recommendations to them. Everyone enjoyed the food. Even our pickier eaters found parts they loved and devoured it. I can’t stress enough how tasty the food was. I highly recommend Habesha.
Fantastic food and cozy atmosphere! We'll definitely be back!
Experienced Ethiopian food first time and really liked the food. We were required to wait for 30+ minutes just to get check. This is something that restaurant really needs to improve.
Really good food. Friendly staff. Giving 1 star less as the ambience is not good
We tried to give them a second chance a year later. First we stood for a while by the door waiting to be seated, waited even longer to get a menu, more wait to order, the food seemed "microwaved", the meat was severely under cooked, it's raw in the middle, we had to ask for water to drink and were told it would be a few minutes. the 4 glasses of mango juice were all different sizes, one with a chip on the bottom. They didn't bother to ask if we needed anything after the food arrived, likely expecting our disappointment. This place deserves a visit from an official.
Amazing food, amazing people. Went for a family lunch during a few days ago. I felt safe eating there. They are Covid compliant. They have spaced out their tables and wear masks as they serve you. We had the kitfo and veggie combo along with the tibis. Really enjoyed their food and the owner is just down to earth, what a wonderful place and wonderful people.
